Her parents Brough her back east to Maine every summer of her life to stay with extended family down east. She studied at the University of California Santa Cruz and graduated from UC Berkeley as an art major and minor in German Languages. She attended continuing education courses in illustration, typography and painting at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan while working full-time as a designer for 6 years. From there she moved to London with her partner and started a family while continuing to paint and to freelance for design and ad agencies.
From London she moved to Maine with her husband and child and lived in Durham, raising their kids, expanding her painting, and working at LL Bean on the print catalogs. The family then moved to Berkeley, California for 22 years, with an interim 4 years in the Netherlands. In 2021 she came with her family back to Maine to stay. Her specialty in painting so far has been the continuing inspiration she feels when in the presence of the rocks and trees of this great State.
