DENNIS POIRIER

Grew Up in Gloucester after being born in Santa Monica CA. Learned to draw with my dad and my parents always encouraged me.

One of the very first students at the Gloucester Academy taught by John Terelak privately first sent to him by Don Stone, who always encouraged me and was my life long best teacher in all things art, and after my father passed became my adopted father- the other big influence on me was the legendary David Leffel in my years at NYC.

Butera School of Art, Gloucester Academy of Fine Art with John Terelak and Ted Goerschner, the Art Students League of NY (David Leffel, Robert Beverly Hale, Gustav Rehberger... Frank Mason briefly.)
