Gay Freeborn is an oil painter living in western Maine. She studied design and sculpture at Moore College of ARt and after college she became a veterinary assistant. She later ran an interior and Landscape design business.
“I try to capture the emotions, movement and shapes of my subjects in my paintings more than an actual photographic image. It’s the aura of the subject that I want to present to the viewer. My favorite subject matter is humans interacting with animals, often in unexpected environments and usually in a larger format.”
